WELCOME
If you love opera, or if you’re just curious about it, you’ve come to the right place.

It’s a pleasure to welcome you to our new Metropolitan Opera Guild website. This one, we think, is going to be special. This time we are uniting all of the sites run by the Guild under one umbrella. And by combining our resources, and allowing for easy navigation between our sites, we hope to create a richer, more rewarding experience for our visitors, both Guild Members and non-members alike.

Links from this page will take you to: OPERA NEWS Online, our publication’s website, providing a wealth of informative content; our Education site, where you can learn about opera activities for students, educators, families and adults; the Guild-run Metropolitan Opera International Radio Broadcast Info Center, a great place to learn about The Met’s radio broadcasts and The Met Opera Shop, brimming with opera CDs, video recordings, books and gifts. It’s an opera shopper’s paradise.

Our new Guild site brings all of these sites together, and adds even more. Here we welcome Guild Members to our new Member Services area. OPERA NEWS readers can do what opera fans everywhere love to do, talk about opera, in the new Guild Standing Room discussion area. Or if something’s puzzling you (about opera, of course) you can ask our resident Diva.

There’s much more to discover here, and at all the Guild sites, but we’ll leave it to you to do some exploring. If you love opera, or even if you’re just curious about it, you’ve come to the right place.
