BOB LeVITUS

Bob LeVitus, often referred to as “Dr. Mac,” has been considered one of the world’s leading authorities on the Macintosh and Mac OS for over twenty-five years. A prolific author, LeVitus has written or co-written more than 70 popular computer books, with millions of copies sold worldwide more than a dozen languages. His recent titles include: iPad For Dummies, iPhone For Dummies, OS X Mavericks For Dummies, and Microsoft Office 2011 For Mac For Dummies, all for Wiley Publishing.

LeVitus has been the Apple technology columnist for the Houston Chronicle, penning the Dr. Mac column on Tuesdays in print and Wednesdays on the Web. He also writes regularly for the Mac Observer and other publications. His hobbies include playing guitar with the infamous Macworld All-Star Band, engineering audio recordings (mostly of classic rock songs), and budget filmmaking.

LeVitus also has a Macintosh computing consultancy that offers expert technical help, training, and pre-purchase advice to Mac users via phone, e-mail, and/or Internet-enabled remote control software.

CHRIS MARQUARDT

Photographer/videographer Chris Marquardt is best known for having taught photography to a large global audience for over eight years on his award-winning international photography podcast Tips from the Top Floor. Together with film maker Jon Miller, he has taken photographers to all three Mt. Everest base camps to teach the Highest Photo Workshop in the World. His seminars cover many genres, including travel, portraiture, and street photography. DON McALLISTER

Don McAllister is the host and producer of the successful weekly video tutorial service ScreenCastsOnline, producing weekly Mac and iOS video tutorials for many thousands of ScreenCastsOnline members across the globe. In addition, ScreenCastsOnline has recently branched out with the production of the very popular monthly iPad Newsstand magazine, ScreenCastsOnline Monthly Magazine.

Gaining a growing reputation as a popular and engaging speaker and trainer, Don is a regular speaker at many International events including Macworld|iWorld in San Francisco and BlogWorld and New Media Expo, along with many training sessions and seminars in the UK.

SAL SOGHOIAN

Sal Soghoian is widely touted as “the” AppleScript Guru and driving force behind the continued expansion and acceptance of AppleScript. He began scripting in 1992, after discovering AppleScript could automate the publishing-related tasks at his service bureau. After spending years as an early “online evangelist,” Sal continued to serve the AppleScript community as the AppleScript Product Manager at Apple. Throughout his tenure, AppleScript’s importance, use, and integration has grown, becoming the indispensable tool for automation and communication on the Mac.

DERRICK STORY

Derrick Story has more than 25 years as a photojournalist, including serving as managing editor for O’Reilly Network. He speaks at technology conferences including Macworld, PMA, PhotoPlus, and Santa Fe Workshops. He is the author of Digital Photography Hacks, Digital Photography Pocket Guide, 3rd Ed., The Digital Photography Companion, and his latest, The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers. He coauthored iPhoto: The Missing Manual with David Pogue.
