After breakfast, take a guided walk through Old Havana’s baroque and neoclassical architecture. Get a sense of the plazas, columns, and courtyards of the area. Learn the rigors of the ongoing restoration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the challenges that remain. Later we meet with Cuban artists at the Experimental Graphic Arts Workshop as they bring printmaking to life and then lunch at El Patio, a lovely spot tucked inside the 17th-century Casa del Marques de Aguas Claras in Cathedral Square. This afternoon, meet with members of the Lizt Alfonso Ballet Company and compare notes on the performing arts in Cuba and the U.S.
