FRIDAY, MARCH 13 — COSTA MAYA, MEXICO: 7am – 4pm

Costa Maya is a constructed landscape created to make the region accessible to cruise visitors. Look up and down the coast beyond the confines of the port, and you find opportunities for lagoon kayaking, scuba, snuba, and snorkeling. Inland, you find opportunities to experience contemporary Maya culture. If ancient Maya culture compels you, two significant ruins lie nearby: Chacchoben, a ceremonial center, and Kohunlich, an extensive site known for its spectacular Temple of the Masks.
