FRIDAY, JUNE 2 — SITKA, ALASKA: 8am – 4pm

Sitka is an island with Tlingit roots and Russian history. Many Sitka visitors head out into the great outdoors, to sport fish, kayak, view wildlife, flyfish and hike. You may prefer a walk to Sitka National Historical Park to learn about totems and take a ranger-led interpretive tour. Schedule time to explore Sitka’s small but superb Sheldon Jackson ethnographic museum. Ramble back into town and linger at Old Harbor Books and the adjacent Backdoor Cafe (Sitkans are rumored to consider it their second living room) before setting sail for British Columbia.
