KAHULUI, MAUI
Saturday, December 2

Conde Nast Traveler voted Maui the best island in the world — for six years in a row. This tropical paradise has it all: hundreds of spectacular beaches, cascading waterfalls, voluptuous jungles bursting with color and birdsong, dramatic volcanic craters and small, charming Hawaiian towns. Kahului serves as the gateway to all that Maui has to offer including adventure excursions through the mountains, fun and sun beach getaways, windsurfing, and many more. You'll agree — there's nothing on earth quite like it. While on Maui, consider visiting Lahaina — Maui's largest town — and explore its white sandy beaches, swaying palms and traces of Hawaii's turbulent history, filled with tales of Maui chiefs, covetous whalers, and self-righteous missionaries. Most of the main attractions are in historic downtown, with its restored New England-style wooden buildings. The tributary of tiny avenues running from Front Street is dense with shops, restaurants, and hideaways. After the capital moved to Honolulu in 1845, Lahaina became a sleepy sugar town and missionary stronghold, site of the first school and printing press west of the Rockies.

NCL Excursion suggestion: Don't miss NCL's exclusive Hoku Nui Lu'au, with its bountiful feasts and sensational song and dance show.

HONOLULU, O'AHU
Sunday, December 3

Oahu has a reputation for having the most consistently beautiful weather — light trade winds and 82°F almost year round. Cosmopolitan Honolulu features fantastic dining, world-class shopping, historic landmarks and glamorous Waikiki Beach. Combine the languid allure of the tropics, big-city sophistication, and the spirit of "Aloha," and the result could only be Honolulu. Away from the city of Honolulu, check out Diamond Head, the famous waves along the North Shore and more.

NCL Excursions include: museums, dazzling beaches, and historic Pearl Harbor.

NAWILIWILI, KAUA'I
Monday & Tuesday, Dec. 4 & 5

Beautiful Nawiliwili is your passage into the sacred "Garden Isle," where the sweet smell of the mokihana berry permeates the air and the lush green landscape intoxicates your senses. Kauai offers a different kind of paradise — more low-key and pristine, and somehow more authentic. A Kauai rule states no building can exceed the height of a coconut tree, so the skyline is dominated by swaying palms, majestic mountains and almost daily rainbows. Full of lush, picture-perfect beauty. This is a land of rain forests and smooth, rounded mountains, cascading waterfalls, and towering ocean cliffs. Kauai is a land so beautiful that even the natives come here for the scenery.

NCL Excursions include: See Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific; Wailua Falls; Fern Grotto and the Na Pali Coast — some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Hawai'i.

HAWAII. THE BIG ISLAND.
Wednesday & Thursday, Dec. 6 & 7

Larger than Hawaii's other main islands combined, the Big Island of Hawaii is spectacularly diverse in both landscapes and activities. Pristine beaches, curious lava formations, the earth's tallest sea mountain and the world's most continuously active volcano all make this island a completely unique adventure. We'll be visiting two ports on this island:

Hilo, Hawai'i
Hilo by the bay is a charming residential port town nestled between the volcanic slopes and forest reserves of magnificent Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Hilo is widely considered The Big Island's most tropical town, an exotic year-round greenhouse of flourishing flowers and lush tropical plants under a canopy of towering Banyan trees, and a landscape well-endowed with natural wonders, including thundering falls and volcanic fissures. One of our excursions, the Volcano National Park Odyssey, offers guests the opportunity to visit spectacular Mount Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, standing at just over 5,000 feet.

Kona, Hawai'i
The sun always shines on the golden Kona coast, a resort community on the west side of Hawaii's Big Island. Instead of white sandy beaches, the undulating shore is ringed with an interconnected maze of shallow tidal pools, teeming with marine life and an abundance of spectacular snorkeling spots. From the macadamia nut orchards to Kona's famous coffee plantations, the coast is lined with some of the most important sites in Hawaiian history.
